The Town of Kwinana will be holding a community celebration to mark Australia Day with a morning of nationalistic family fun.

Locals are invited to gather the family, grab the picnic blanket, and head down to the Council Gardens on the corner of Gilmore Avenue and Sulphur Road on Thursday 26 January at 9am to celebrate the great Australian spirit, Kwinana style.

After tucking into a free Aussie barbeque breakfast courtesy of the Rotary Club, revelers can meet some Australian native animals with West Oz Wildlife, and enjoy a morning of fun filled entertainment for the family.

In the true spirit of the day, a number of new Australians will be welcomed into the multicultural Town of Kwinana during a patriotic citizenship ceremony, and spectators can expect an impressive display of local pride as the community awards for 2012 are presented later in the morning.
