Fun fitness programs encourage Healthy Lifestyles

    With the new year now in full swing, Kwinana residents are setting out to achieve their health and fitness goals for 2012. The Town of Kwinana Healthy Lifestyles team offers an array of services to help residents reach those goals, including two specialised programs aimed at women and residents over 50.

    The two programs, SeniorSational and Active Women, allow residents to easily incorporate healthy activities into their weekly routines. Each class is designed to challenge participants to improve their health and fitness levels in a supportive and fun team environment.

    Town of Kwinana Healthy LifestylesThe SeniorSational program, which is available to active over 50’s, includes activities such as circuit strength and endurance training, core balance training and even a tour of Baldivis wineries and nut farms.

    The Active Women’s program also includes a range of activities and excursions including team sports, aqua and Zumba classes, raft building and archery. Most Active Women’s classes also offer free use of the Recquatic crèche.

    Sessions for both programs are held weekly and start February 7, running until April 3.
