More Kwinana residents are cleverly taking advantage of the LINCS Community Directory, the online database providing information on community groups and government agencies locally and throughout the Perth metropolitan area.
This free service allows users to access and locate local groups such as sporting facilities, schools, study classes and heritage associations. The directory can be found under the library section of the Town of Kwinana website at www.kwinana.wa.gov.au, and is very easy to use with a simple keyword search providing a list of organisations that may be of service.
This community portal is part of a useful collection of online services provided by the Kwinana Library that can also be found on the website. Library members are encouraged to explore these handy tools, which include the Health and Wellness Resource Centre, a medical reference for all ages and levels, The Computer School, an assortment of userfriendly tutorials containing step-by-step instructions with easy to follow screen shots, practical exercises and activities, the Britannica Online Library Edition, a handy age appropriate resource for students, parents and teachers, and many more other interesting and educational resources.
The Kwinana Library is located at the Hub Shopping Centre and is open on weekdays, excluding Wednesday, between the hours of 9am and 7pm, and on Saturday mornings between 9am and 12 noon. For further information please contact the library on 9236 4300.
