The Town of Kwinana Youth Services team recently launched the second Kanvas Urban Art Exhibition during National Youth Week celebrations at the Kwinana Recquatic.

The exhibition will run until Friday April 22 and features artwork by young local urban artists Jarrad Ballard, Eli Bermudo, Jono Desmond, Bradley Johns and David Van Herk.

Part of the K-UP program (Kwinana Urban Art Project) the exhibition features various urban art initiatives such as drawing/design sessions every Thursday afternoon at the Kwinana Youth Services Darius building, monthly paint sessions at the Skate Park, technique practice sessions, public murals and more.

The artworks will once again be available for sale via a silent auction. Just come to the Recquatic to check out the exhibition, fill out a bid form with how much you would like to pay for the artwork, and you could have a chance of purchasing the piece. All the profits above material costs go directly to the young artists themselves.

For more information on the exhibition or to get involved in K-UP contact Kwinana Youth Services on 9439 0274.
