Depending on what capacity you are employed in, when working for the Town of Kwinana you may be eligible for some or all of the following benefits!
Rostered Day Off
Most full time staff at the Town of Kwinana work a 9-day fortnight.
Gold Gym Membership
All non-casual employees of the Town of Kwinana will be granted free use of the Kwinana Recquatic Centre, through a free Gold Gym Membership with the centre.
Children's Holiday Programs
All non-casual employees of the Town of Kwinana will be granted at-cost use of the Kwinana Recquatic Centre's Children's Holiday Programs.
Health & Wellbeing Programs
Town of Kwinana provides employees with an array of health and well being programs, including annual staff options to have: flu vaccination; skin cancer screening; health assessments, and; ergonomic assessments.
Purchase Additional Leave
The Town of Kwinana offers the chance for you to:
- Purchase additional annual leave; and
- Reduce your pay to fund a year off work every five years.
Annual Leave
152 hours of annual leave is accrued each year (pro rata for part time employees).
Parental Leave
Up to 104 weeks parental leave available after 12 months continuous service with the Town. The first six weeks of this leave is paid.
Long Service Leave (LSL)
13 weeks leave for each 10 year period of continuous service.
Family/Carers Leave
May be taken from accrued sick leave entitlements in accordance with the Collective Agreement.
Compassionate Leave
Up to 2 days on each occasion (4 days for international deaths), plus up to 3 additional days that can be taken from your Sick Leave balance, if sufficient.
Superannuation
Council provides superannuation contributions on employee's behalf (currently 9% of salary) in accordance with Superannuation Guarantee Legislation. A voluntary scheme is also available whereby Council will make additional contributions (currently up to 6% of salary) on your behalf, should you wish to make matching contributions.
Salary Sacrificing
A salary sacrificing arrangements are offered for personal superannuation contributions. Other items (eg. Vehicles) are also available to package however these are administrated through an external provider (currently Maxxia).
