The Kwinana Library is calling out to local children to get involved in some free crafty fun this summer with a number of youth oriented events held throughout the month of January.
A session of Caterpillar Crafts, open to all age groups, will take place on Monday, 9 January, at 10am to 11am. Inspired by all the wonderful things found in the garden, children can get creative while building on their developmental skills and learning about nature. Bookings are essential.
On Monday, 16 January, children’s author Meg McKinlay will visit the Library to talk about her book, The Truth about Penguins, a laugh out loud story set in the zoo. The entire event will run from 10am until 11.30am and, suited to 5 to 12 year olds, the book session will be followed by some fun penguin inspired craft activities. Bookings are essential for this event also.
Finally, an all ages, drop in badge making session will be held on Tuesday, 24 January from 10am until 12 noon. Bookings are not required.
For more information on any of these events or to secure a booking for your child, call the Kwinana Library on 9236 4300.
