The Town of Kwinana is seeking interested residents to join community centre reference groups.
Residents are being encouraged to sign up to these groups which will provide input into the development of the Bertram and Wellard community centres.
Detailed architectural design is currently underway for the Wellard Community Centre and detailed planning for the centre in Bertram has also begun.
Kwinana Mayor Carol Adams said it was important for the community to be involved in the decision making process, especially for facilities specifically designed to cater to their own needs.
“These important facilities will provide a central location for communities to meet, learn and socialise and as such it is important for us to consider how residents would like us to achieve this,” Mayor Adams said.
