Kwinana Recquatic’s in-house eatery, Cafe Splash, will be serving its last cup of coffee and dishing up its last lunchtime treat as it prepares to close indefinitely, effective 5 December, 2011.
The closure will allow significant funds to be reinvested into the Kwinana Recquatic’s building infrastructure, as well as its various programs and activities.
Vending machines have recently been installed at the Centre, where snacks and hot/cold beverages can be purchased. Seating areas will also be allocated to ensure that visitors to the facility can continue to socialise with other patrons.
Cafe Splash has been serving the local community of Kwinana for more than nine years, since Kwinana Recquatic’s centre refurbishment in 2002.
Kwinana will not be at a loss for a coffee shop in the area, with the opening of Dome Cafe in the new Kwinana Town Centre in 2012.
