The Town of Kwinana will hold a range of cyclist-friendly events next week to coincide with the states Bike Week program which encourages people to cycle instead of drive and promotes healthier lifestyles in general.
All events will be held at the Kwinana Recquatic and include:
Ride to work breakfast (open to all ages) - 22 March, 7:30am – 8am
Bike maintenance workshop (open to all ages) – 22 March, 8am - 8:30am
Fix your bike session (for ages 5-12 and their parents) – 24 March 3:30pm – 5pm
Triathlon (which includes a 400m pool swim, 14km exercise bike cycle and 4km run) – 25 March, 9am
The Kwinana Bike Week events are supported by the Town of Kwinana, Bike Force, Australian Government Department of Families, Housing, Community Services and Indigenous Affairs and the Smith Family.
