Area 1 = Medina, Calista and Orelia

Area 2 = Leda, Parmelia and Wellard west of the railway line

Area 3 = Anketell, Bertram, Casuarina, Hope Valley, Kwinana Beach, Mandogalup, Naval Base, Postans, The Spectacles, Wandi, and Wellard east of the railwat line.

 

GREENWASTE COLLECTIONS

REMEMBER: please DO NOT place junk waste items out for this collection

The following items WILL be collected:

Tree and shrub prunings up to .

  • 1.5 metre in length
  • 350mm in diameter
  • 2 trailer loads [6x4]
  • 2m3 maximum

The following items WILL NOT be collected:

  • Bags or boxes of leaves or grass clippings
  • Weeds and root materials
  • Sand and soil materials
  • Dug out lawn
  • Leaves and lawn clippings [place in green bin]
  • General rubbish, junk or whitegoods

* Please DON'T place bags/boxes of leaves or lawn clippings out as these will NOT be collected.

* Please consider opening size of the truck when placing items out for collection.

 

JUNK AND WHITEGOODS/METALS COLLECTION

REMEMBER: Please DO NOT place greenwaste out for this collection

The following items WILL be collected:

  • Whitegoods [fridges, stoves, etc]
  • Scrap [furniture & other household items]
  • Timber products [up to 1.5metres in length]
  • General junk

Please consider the opening size of the truck when placing items out for collection.

The truck collecting recyclable metals is a separate truck from the general junk collection vehicle.

How to place your waste

Please place bulk rubbish on the verge in TWO PILES without obstructing footpaths.

One pile is to contain white goods and ALL metal products.

The other pile is to contain general junk.

NOTE: Doors MUST be detached from fridges and freezers

 

The following items WILL NOT be collected

  • NO trees exceeding 1.5m
  • NO greenwaste, no bags with leaves
  • NO asbestos products
  • NO food stuff or domestic rubbish
  • NO car bodies or vehicle parts
  • NO gas cylinders
  • NO paints, chemicals, oils
  • NO bricks sand or building rubble
  • NO stumps or palm logs
  • NO tyres
  • NO batteries
  • NO cement or concrete
  • NO plate glass or shower screens

Your cooperation will ensure your collection is removed on time

 

PLEASE DO

  • Place your waste neatly on the verge no more than tow [2] days prior to the scheduled start date for your Area.
  • Place your waste on the verge by Monday 6.00am on the scheduled start date for your Area as the contractor will only check the verge once.
  • Allow 5 – 7 working days for collection.

PLEASE DO NOT

  • Obstruct the footpath, your normal bin services or the line of sight of pedestrians, cyclists or cars.
  • Place your waste inside your property line.
  • Place your waste on other verges as it will not be collected from vacant properties and land or public reserves.
  • Tie your greenwaste in bundles.

As verge collections are picked up by mechanical means, please DON'T place your waste next to trees, power poles, walls, street signs, sprinklers, fire hydrants or water meters as these may be damaged.
