The Town of Kwinana dog pound is open to the public by from 4pm - 4.30pm Monday to Friday no appointment necessary. On weekends (between 8am and 5pm) please phone the Duty Ranger on 0411 078 264.
The pound is in Beacham Crescent, Medina, next to the Town's depot.
The Town is required by legislation to keep a dog in the pound for a minimum of 72 hours to provide time for the dog to be reunited with its owner. After that period, where possible the Town seeks to find suitable homes for dogs capable of being rehoused.
Reclaiming your dog
If your dog has been impounded and you wish to reclaim your pet, any outstanding pound and daily sustenance fees need to be paid to the Rangers prior to collection.
Impoundment fee: $100
Sustenance fee: $15 per day
Please note that if you have not registered your dog you will need to do so before collecting it from the pound.
