Community Awards

About

The City of Kwinana likes to recognise hard working and dedicated community members who help make Kwinana a better place. The City’s awards program consists of two different streams, our Community Awards; which recognise community members in their field of specialty, and through the Australia Day Citizen of the Year Awards.

Nominations open approximately six weeks prior to the award ceremony with the exception of the Citizen of the Year Awards, which open in September and close at the end of October.

Once nominations have closed, all nominees will be contacted by a City Officer to schedule a 15 to 20 minute interview with the selection panel, consisting of two City of Kwinana Councillors, the Citizen of the Year, a Freeman of the City and one City Officer.

At the interview, nominees will receive details for the award ceremony.

All nominees receive a certificate at the ceremony. Award winners are recognised with a certificate, $100 prize and their name inscribed on the perpetual trophy and honour board in the Library.
