Located at The Darius building, the Kwinana Library caters for all ages and tastes.

We have books in standard and large print, talking books, music compact discs, videos, CD-ROMs, magazines and pamphlets. The library also holds Council minutes, policies and public discussion documents.

With over 40,000 items to choose from, you will find what you're looking for.

Membership

Everyone is welcome to be a library member. Just come into the library, fill out a form and provide proof of your current name and address, such as your drivers licence, rates notice or health care card. Please note that a parent or guardian will need to fill out a membership form and sign for children under the age of 18 years.

Borrowing privileges are as follows:

• Adults, young adults and juniors can borrow up to ten items. There is a limit of four DVDs per person; and
• All items are available for a three week loan period.

Additional Services

• Photocopying - A photocopier is available for use at 20c per A4 page and 40c per A3 page;
• Internet - A free Internet service is available, just ask one of our friendly library staff for more details.    A one hour per day limit applies;
• Public access computers - The library has two PCs available free of charge, with Microsoft Office programs. The PCs can also be used to practice the driving Learner's Permit and Hazard Perception Tests;
• Library Bags - Cotton Library bags are for sale at just $5.00 each;
• Laminating - Small business sized cards can be laminated for just $2.00 each i.e. pension concession cards. A4 page and A3 can also be laminated at a cost of $7.00 (A4) and $12.00 (A3);
• Engravers - 4 Easy Etch Engravers are available FREE for a 3 week loan; and
• Badge maker - A badge maker is available for hire to schools or community organisations for $45.00 per day.

Home Library Services

Kwinana Public Library provides a free home library service for eligible residents who live within the boundary of the Town of Kwinana.  You may be eligible for this service if you are unable to visit the library due to age, disability or health problems or are a full-time carer of a person in the above group.
