Students in Kwinana who are members of the Kwinana Public Library can now get free tutoring help online at the library or home through an innovative new service just introduced by Kwinana Public Library.

yourtutor is a unique learning service that connects students via the Internet to qualified, expert tutors for individual conversations about homework, assignments, exam preparation and study questions. The service is available at more than 250 library services across Australia and has been used by more than 100,000 students.

The tutors are experts in English, maths, science, assignment research and study skills and are online from 4pm-8pm, Monday to Friday. Students can connect to the tutors from either the library's computers or from home using their own computer. Help is immediate, professional, secure, anonymous, and free to library members. Students in Years 4-12 simply log on by clicking the link above and following the links to ask a tutor for help.

Tutors are all Australian educated and are certified teachers, professional tutors, post graduates and advanced undergraduates at Australian universities. They can review specific homework and assignment questions with students using features like controlled chat, an interactive whiteboard and shared web browsing.
