It is important for both the Police, and the Town, to mutually understand the issues of the district as unless we work closely together, the Kwinana community will not receive the level of attention it deserves.<br /><br /><center><img width="448" src="http://broadcast.futuremail.com.au/admin/temp/newsletters/3333/mayor%20adams%20with%20superintendant%20halliday.jpg" alt="Mayor Adams &amp; Superintendent Halliday" height="327" title="Mayor Adams &amp; Superintendent Halliday" /></center><br />Mr Halliday outlined that police in the region are performing very well and addressing promptly, the unfortunate incidents of crime and antisocial behaviour that occurs everywhere throughout the metropolitan area.<br /><br />The Mayor raised&nbsp;issues specifically relating&nbsp;to hoons and illegal motorbike riders, security on public transport, and Kwinana Police Station officer levels and its opening hours as these are issues commonly highlighted by community members in their discussions with her.&nbsp; The Mayor also outlined the security provisions being put into place in the new Kwinana Town Centre and asked if the Town could further assist the Police by considering for example, a more attractive "reward" for Kwinana residents that report a crime which leads to a conviction (for example, graffiti, illegal motorbike riders, hoons, etc).&nbsp; The superintendent was supportive of discussions along these lines occurring to ascertain if such a reward system could produce improved results.&nbsp; We will meet further with the Officer in Charge at the Kwinana Police Station, Snr Sergeant Glen Willers to advance this cross promotion further.&nbsp;</p> </td> </tr> <tr> <td height="10" width="600" valign="middle" style="padding: 0 20px;
