The single biggest community event in Kwinana, the Festival Fair Day & Concert features over 80 stallholders, displays and activities, an array of free rides and entertainment, and marks the peak of the Town of Kwinana’s Live! series of events for 2011.

The daytime activities conclude at 3pm, however at 6.30pm all will be welcomed back for a family night under the stars at the 2011 Concert. For all the music lovers, an explosion of local talent will take to the stage to light up the night with an assortment of entertainment. The night will conclude at 10pm with an impressive fireworks display.
The event is alcohol and smoke free and is proudly brought to you by the Town of Kwinana with the support of Fremantle Ports, BHP Billiton and the Kwinana Industries Council.

The results of the Town of Kwinana local government elections held on 15 October 2011 were: Wendy Cooper (2423 votes)

Sherilyn Wood (2167)
Peter Feasey (1831)
Vic Smith (1353)
Bryan Corker (1328)
Barry Donohoe (1273)
There were four seats available and therefore Dennis Wood, Peter Feasey and Sherilyn Wood return to Council, joined by one new Councillor, Wendy Cooper.
The election of Mayor and Deputy Mayor took place at the 17 October 2011 Special Council Meeting.
Carol Adams was re-elected as Mayor and Councillor Ruth Alexander was elected as Deputy Mayor.
